About the programme
The Cuidar Programme accompanies elderly British people to medical appointments and clinical examinations, both for preventive purposes and for the treatment of recurring illnesses. The work involves mobilising a team of trained professionals who assist older people with travel, provide support during medical appointments and clinical examinations, and monitor their treatment and medication regimens.
In 2025, the Welfare team attended 1,203 medical appointments and tests and made 663 phone calls to the families of the elderly people in their care.
