We are one of the NGOs selected under Call for Proposals 99 Transforma

In addition to Silver Save, the month of February brought yet more great news for the British Charitable Foundation: we were one of five NGOs selected for a new project by 99, the 99 Transforma!

These accolades show that we are on the right track and that our work has made a difference to the lives of many older people.

Campaign 99 Transforma

A 99 initiative in partnership with the NGO Atados, the programme provides transport to those who really need it. 99 employees drive via the app and all the revenue is converted into credits on the 99 app so that NGOs can use the transport service for their projects.

This is the first campaign that will serve as a pilot for 99 to expand its positive impact on society. Around 100 NGOs from across Brazil applied, and we are delighted to be one of the five winners. It is a great recognition of our work and our projects.

In addition to FBB, the Ayrton Senna Institute, the Dorina Nowill Foundation, AHPAS and Obra Social Dona Meca were also awarded. We feel honoured to be alongside organisations of this calibre, which also carry out outstanding work in their respective fields.

The selected project

We have submitted our Cuidar Programme application in the notice of programme. As part of this, we accompany older people to their medical appointments. As many have poor health and limited mobility, public transport is not an option. For this reason, our work relies on transport services, such as those offered by the 99 app, to provide comfort and convenience to those we support.

With the help of 99 Transforma, we aim to expand the Cuidar Programme, which was in the trial phase throughout 2017. We will soon be publishing updates on this expansion here on the blog. We are confident that, thanks to this support, we will be able to increase our positive impact and achieve great results.
